Ingredients

  • 28–32 oz frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheddar–mozzarella mix)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Cook the Fries:
  2. Prepare French fries according to package directions (oven, air fryer, or deep-fry) until golden and crispy. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare Bacon:
  4. While the fries cook, fry bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels, then crumble.
  5. Assemble the Fries:
  6. Spread hot fries onto an oven-safe platter or baking sheet. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon.
  7. Melt the Cheese:
  8. Place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  9. Top & Serve:
  10. Drizzle with sour cream (or serve it on the side) and sprinkle with green onions. Serve immediately while hot.
  11. Tip: Add jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or ranch dressing for extra flavor.
