Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 packets chicken gravy mix (about 1 oz each)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 ½ cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the Crockpot:
  2. Spray your crockpot with non-stick spray or lightly coat with oil to prevent sticking.
  3. (or use a liner)
  4. .
  5. Place the Chicken:
  6. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Season them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides.
  7. .
  8. Mix the Gravy:
  9. In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and water (or chicken broth) until well combined and smooth.
  10. Pour Over Chicken:
  11. Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Ensure the chicken is fully covered by the sauce.
  12. .
  13. Cook:
  14. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  15. Shred or Serve Whole:
  16. Once the chicken is cooked through, you can either leave the chicken breasts whole or shred them into the gravy using two forks for a pulled-chicken texture.
  17. Add Butter (Optional):
  18. For a richer sauce, stir in a tablespoon of butter at the end, allowing it to melt into the gravy.
  19. .
  20. Serve:
  21. Spoon the chicken and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a comforting meal. Garnish with chopped parsley for added freshness.
