Pineapple-Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (8-10 lbs)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • Pineapple rings (canned or fresh)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Method

  1. Prepare the Ham:
  2. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Place ham in a roasting pan, cut side down. Score the surface in a crisscross pattern.
  3. Make the Glaze:
  4. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, and cloves. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Apply the Glaze:
  6. Brush half the glaze evenly over the ham. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake:
  8. Roast ham for about 1 1/2 hours, basting with remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  9. Add Pineapple Rings:
  10. Arrange pineapple rings and cherries (if using) on the ham during the last 30 minutes. Baste generously and return to oven uncovered for a caramelized finish.
  11. Serve:
  12. Let ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with rosemary sprigs and serve warm.
