Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 cube steaks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 eggs + ΒΌ cup milk
  • Oil for frying
  • Gravy: 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp flour, 2 cups milk, salt & pepper

Method

  1. Mix flour & seasonings in one dish; whisk eggs & milk in another.
  2. Coat steaks in flour, dip in egg, coat in flour again.
  3. Fry in hot oil 4–5 min/side; drain.
  4. For gravy: melt butter, whisk in flour, cook 1–2 min. Add milk slowly, whisk until thick. Season.
  5. Serve steaks with gravy.
